“Raasleela will be conducted from 21st to 27th of this month from 6:30 p.m. onwards. Janmashtami is on the 27th of August with Janma Abhishek and Maha Arati from 12 am to 1 am. Lighting has been arranged from Chandan Nagar in West Bengal. Trucks full of the required material will arrive on 15th, and preparations will be in full swing then”, said Mr. Tejasvi Sharma, who looks after the administrative work in the temple.
“We are also going to light up the entire road that leads upto the temple here, i.e. right from the foot of the hill to the top. Lighting will be such that it will look as if Shri Krishna is moving his hands, and eating butter”, he informs.
“A troupe of children of children will be coming here from Vrindavan to put up a few cultural programmes. The Bhagvad Gita readings, and kirtans will be taking place simultaneously”, informs the Temple InCharge Rajiv Lochan Das.
Kirtans are conducted in the temple premises everyday at 7 p.m. and in between 7:30 p.m to 8:30 p.m. is the pravarchan by the Gaudiya Vaisnava Acharya Srila Bhakti Swarupa Tirtha Maharaja. And on Sundays at 5 p.m. onwards.
